AIMS & OBJECTIVES
This course provides the necessary theorectical and practical exercises allowing staff to adopt safe lifting and handling techniques.
COURSE CONTENT
- Legislation - understanding employer/employee obligations relating to manual handling.
- Anatomy & spine - to gain a basic knowledge and understanding of the anotomy and function of the spine.
- Principles of manual handling - adopt a safe lifting and handling techniques.
- Practical exercises - manual handling techniques.
Please note: All delegates are recorded, on video, conducting the ‘kinetic lift' exercise. This footage supports training records as evidence that the delegate has understood, and demonstrated their comprehension of, the correct lifting technique.
