AIMS & OBJECTIVES
To provide participants with an awareness of the hazards associated with petroleum spirit and in particular flammable atmospheres.
COURSE CONTENT
- Properties and characteristics of petroleum spirit.
- Hazard identification
- Handling and first aid (including COSHH)
- Fire
- Fire extinguisher awareness
- Emergency procedures
- Checks and maintenance
- Reporting and due diligence
TARGET AUDIENCE
Anyone working in an environment where they may come into contact aith petroleum spirits (even in small amounts) in ares where dispensing, storage or spillages could occur.
PRE-COURSE PREPARATION
None required.
CERTIFICATION
Delegates successfully passing the end of course test will receive a SMTS training certificate.
