AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the legal requirements surrounding the use of abrasive wheels, and will include delegates inspecting and changing abrasive wheels.
COURSE CONTENT
The course includes lecture, practical demonstration and theory assessment and covers the following elements:
- Legislation
- Main component parts of abrasive wheels and wheel codes
- Safe use of abrasive wheels
- Hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels
- Safe use of abrasive wheel machines
- Inspecting and changing abrasive wheels
- Written assessment
TARGET AUDIENCE
The course is designed for all personnel using abrasive wheels in the work place and is a mixture of classroom and workshop based learning.
PRE-COURSE PREPARATION
It is expected that all delegates will provide their own PPE and that wheels and machines will be in good working order.
CERTIFICATION
Delegates who successfully complete the course and the theory assessment will be issued a certificate of attendance.
