NEBOSH, the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health is an independent awarding body founded in 1979. NEBOSH courses span a comprehensive range of globally recognised, vocationally related qualifications designed to meet the health, safety, environmental and risk management needs of all places of work, both in the private and public sectors.
Courses leading to NEBOSH qualifications attract over 25,000 candidates annually and examinations and assessments are set by professionally qualified staff assisted by external examiners.
NEBOSH’s Certificate-level qualifications give a good foundation in health and safety for managers, supervisors and staff with health and safety among their day to day responsibilities. These qualifications are widely taken as a first step towards a career in health and safety and are accepted by IOSH – the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health – in meeting the academic requirements for Technician Membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH)

NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate
The Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate (FC) is a qualification for those with fire safety responsibilities in the workplace. It is already established as a popular qualification in the UK and abroad. This course is for managers and supervisory staff who need to ensure that their organisation meets its responsibilities under fire safety legislation. Our course, leading to the NEBOSH FC qualification, will equip holders to carry out fire risk assessments of most low risk workplaces and identify the range of fire protective and preventative measures required. It is therefore also suitable for people moving into fire safety adviser roles.
The course is run over 10 days, typically split into two weeks, plus 1 day for the examination. The course is offered at selected locations, and can also be run client specific. Delegates who successfully complete two written papers, plus a practical assessment will be awarded the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate.
Are you already one step towards your NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate? Unit NGC1 (Management of health and safety) is common to the NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management Certificate and the National General Certificate, enabling students to combine units across NEBOSH qualifications. Students do not need to re-sit any units already successfully achieved providing they were gained within the last five years.
