NEBOSH CLEAN-SWEEP FOR FIRE SERVICE
01 March 2010
In 2009 Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) selected SMTS Ltd to deliver their annual NEBOSH National General Certificate course. Each year the GMFRS put a group of selected key personnel, such as station officers, through the NEBOSH National General Certificate course to develop their Health and Safety competency. The 2-week course ran at the GMFRS Training and Development centre and the feedback from candidates on completion of the course was the usual mixture of relief at having made it through the intensive program, gratitude to the SMTS tutor team for their expertise and mentoring and, of course, anticipation of the results. Any trepidation has since been proved to have been unwarranted as the results were published last week with all 17 candidates passing successfully.
As if the clean sweep of a 100% pass rate was not vindication enough for having switched providers to SMTS Ltd the icing on the cake surely came with the news that 14 of the 17 candidates achieved a Credit score and one candidate attained a Distinction with the highest overall score that SMTS Ltd has posted to date.
We'd like to express out sincere congratulations to the entire class and we look forward to meeting your colleagues in September 2010.
