SMTS Providing Health and Safety Services in Turkey

SMTS Turkey's first NEBOSH International General Certificate course, held in Istanbul in May 2011, attracted candidates from far and wide and from a variety of backgrounds. Tuition sessions, held entirely in English, gave candidates from companies such as BP, Chevron and DHL a forum to share their experiences in International Safety Management with other safety practitioners. The group consisted of people from Turkey, Hungary, Germany, Kuwait and South Africa amongst other countries. Turkish H&S consultants on this course are taking the NEBOSH course to enable them to apply to become Class-A Safety Practitioners in Turkey.

Candidates had an opportunity, midway through the course, to take a break from studying and explore the fantastic city of Istanbul. A cruise of the Bosphorus was laid on before the candidates went back to the classroom for the second week of their NEBOSH course. At the time of writing this the candidates were hard at work nearing the end of week 2 and preparing for their exams, so you'll have to check-back here again soon for feedback on how they enjoyed their SMTS experience.
